This illustration is of Tonic, Spiraltonic's persona. Tonic is a wiry, goatlike purple alien character designed with a cartoonish panache in mind. She sports an outfit (and accompanying raygun) that takes after scene, retro, and sci-fi subcultures with notes taken from pop culture's interpretation of aliens. Tonic is looking up at the viewer with a sense of whimsy, a hand at her chin and the other holding her raygun. The raygun is shooting out a bright lime laser blast that curves around the circular background elements. Behind Tonic is a green, wobbly interpretation of the background used in the Looney Tunes signature closing sequence. Tonic is implied to be messing with the circles, turning them wavy and amorphous. The watermark on the illustration says "Rara Avis."

Yes! My tablet is a Huion Kamvas as well, my pen was also battery-less but from what I read up on, sometimes the wiring inside the pen can just get messed up and stop working. It just came outta nowhere for me too, no lead-up or anything

This actually happened to me about a year ago, and it turned out that my pen had just decided to randomly crap out for no reason. I ordered a new pen and it worked right away, so that might be your best bet!

Still working on Tonic’s redesign. In the meantime, here’s a Ragatha WIP! (Who I’m totally normal about and not at all concerned for)

Aw thank you, I really appreciate the kind words!! 💚 It’s totally cool, I’m not too distressed about it. In fact, I actually think it will be a nice change! My art’s grown a lot since I first designed her, so it’ll be refreshing to try something new! :)

But I’m actually not mad! I think she could use it, and I’m already liking the one I’ve started sketching out way more. Nothing about her actual core design is changing, just the shapes. I’ll be sharing it when it’s finished! (and, well—for the forseeable future!)

I regret to say that I think Twitter has finally forced my hand… I’ve decided to redesign Tonic. I don’t know how many more “Look guys, it’s BLITZ!!!!” comments I can take LOL
