A silver plaque telling the humurous and untrue story of a train robbery involving Tunnocks Teacakes.

Covered up by the authorities, this plaque finally reveals the story of Glasgow's Great Train Robbery. It's sited at the old Kelvinside Railway Station on Great Western Road in the city's west end.

People often ask us how we do our research. Well, we listen to a lot of people in pubs and then spend literally minutes verifying what we hear. Crucially, we never let a lack of information (or, indeed, any evidence it's untrue) get in the way of telling a good #Glasgow story!

We've put up a series of silver plaques around Glasgow telling different stories from Glasgow's history which we feel more people should know about, regardless of whether or not they are true. We'll post more information about these over the next few days.
