Long gone are the days of the middle or high school neighbor down the street watching kids for 3-4 hours.

I don't think we want to see multiple extra times in soccer though. Players just completely gassed, jogging around the field.

That is also the narrowest part of the path. I anticipate some conflicts there as it's not wide enough for three riders abreast (two side-by-side and a passing rider the other way).

They have that at some of the Seattle branches already. Seems that would be a great stopgap for areas with poor library access!

Have you ridden it yet? We went on it a few days ago, and it's between 6-7 feet between the barrier and chain link fence in spots (narrower than a car lane).

Except there is nowhere to turn to between Horton and Dearborn. And the full car lane is wider than sections of the new path (or the Andover lane you showed)

Hard for bikes to turn around or cars?

Do you have any idea of who it's serving then? Can't imagine a ton of bike traffic to the Longshoremen hall.

Is the section in red to be open in 2026 part of a new bike project further south on S Marginal? Or on Spokane? Seems pretty orphaned now otherwise.

I'm honestly going to miss the lane on the road. No lights/stops. It's wider than some sections of this new path. And traffic and freight didn't implode.

We could have saved money on this path and just put up some jersey barriers for the current lane.

How are people still buying this. Or how do they still think people are buying this.
