My own personal story was I considered myself a born-again Christian back in the days where "88 Reasons Why the Rapture Will Be in 1988" was an actual book you could read. Seeing the rapture grift happen over and over makes me feel really old...

Buddhist rapture is a lot more boring. You just hang out on the Earth, breathing and trying to be a decent person until you die.
