What I'm trying to say is, as an artist/writer/generally creative person you're always your own worst critic, and getting stuck in that negative self-feedback loop is terrifyingly easy. It's good to have someone with a fresh look on the matter to ask so they can "beat some sense" back into this mess

What also helped me was drawing with my friends.If you have irl friends that are into art, have some drawing dates with a sketchbook! Just sit somewhere comfortable, buy snacks, order a drink, and create in the same space. Swapping ideas helps me de-stress a lot and feel less alone with my problems.

I felt a bit paralyzed because of that. It might be a more personal issue though - I'm constantly struggling with mood swings and can't trust my own judgement sometimes. Still, whenever I get hit with that feeling again, I remind myself "This is healthier for me, I need my health to keep creating."

Somewhere this year I got hit with a thought that some of my last year/2-3yo drawings are just better than whatever I can do right now. I've been trying to get my process to be more loose, but then once I started comparing stuff it got me worrying I was actually regressing instead.
