Jesse Buckley's performance is OMG great, and Christian Bale is also excellent. Plus, Annette Bening! So nice to see her on my screen.

We just saw The Bride! and it’s fucking great. Highly recommend seeing in theater. @joshaboldt.bsky.social and I agree it’s the best movie we’ve seen in awhile. Wildly inventive and steeped in movies at the same time.

One nice thing about the Gilded Age was how many of those dudes believed they were going to hell. And were scared.

The title says it all for this week’s song pairing: Queen’s β€œI’m in Love With My Car.” Neighbor Carl has an unhealthy relationship with his automobile. If you spot him lurking in your driveway, you better cover that tailpipe!

Social media created this nonsense idea that not exposing yourself to hatred is isolationist. Choosing to not spend your free time with bigots isn’t living in a bubble. I don’t need to know what’s going on at X. I won’t be smarter or more knowledgeable or empathic by being there. Neither will you.

Trans people are not the problem.

If you are concerned about trans people, I'd recommend taking a moment to think about who told you that was a critical issue. They may not have your best interests at heart.

People being needlessly cruel to trans folks? Now that is a problem.

Who wants to see that data? We've been open for just over a month.

- We've gotten 530 submissions (What!)
- Of those, we have accepted 16 stories. That's an acceptance rate of 3%.
- 8 of the 16 were asked for minor revisions, and we accepted the second draft.

We love working with writers!
