There's a big spread in the new Archival Outlook about AI and "sustainable archival workflows" and I feel insane because AI is at complete cross-purposes with environmental sustainability

Democrats want to compromise with fascists. We can't compromise with them doing that. It's lunacy. You have to ignore all the people complaining that you're criticizing them. We have to be stentorian. A compromise with fascism IS fascism. Democrats need to fear losing their jobs if they don't do em.

Stop pre-negotiating. Stop telling voters they have to sacrifice minorities and the marginalized to have a chance of winning. Stop telling voters to settle, to not ask for everything, to be reasonable. Don't be reasonable. Demand the world. The world belongs to us. They don't have more right to it.

I don't talk about this a ton but I am not cis. As someone who people assume they can put in a specific box (that matches my birth sex and ID), I'm playing gender on relatively easy mode. She/her are uncomfortable but not devastating, so I'm selective about that battle. Not everyone has that choice.

As always: Republicans are going to kill us all, and Democrats are going to get us all killed. Republicans want to murder trans human beings and erase them from existence but that doesn't mean the Democrats aren't terrible on this issue and will instead just let them wither and die without support.

This is a Nazi move. Stripping people of rights, invalidating their IDs, setting them up for criminalization and imprisonment.

If you don't support trans rights, you support fascism.

Mildly cursed day. Rain squall blew in just as I was leaving work (and no waterproof layer with me). Pharmacy still hadn't gotten the prior auth for my migraine rescue med. And now the potato in the stew I'm cooking refuses to soften.

Ugh. Extra frustrating, then, if it is pests. My pests were partial to cashmere and camelids, bougie little bugs... Crossing my fingers for you!

I really hate to say this but....this sounds exactly how skeins with insect damage (carpet beetle, in my case) have behaved for me in the past. Had strands chewed partway through so they look normal unless inspected closely or wound. Lots of other potential reasons too but, maybe worth a look

Work was gross today. I had a class of coughing/sneezing 8th graders. Circulation had me assess a bunch of falling-apart books for mending vs disposal, and I had to dig through very dusty oversize pics. The last came w bonus! slivers. #ArchivesLife

To be fair, lettuce based salads are C- foods, generally messy, inefficient, and not worth it for me. And soooo many storage containers needed for leftovers. I know I know, not all salads blah blah blah

HelloFresh quick meals options (that work for me) were limited, so I ended up w a pear salad. Poor choice given it's not pear season. The dressing (mustard, vinegar, fig jam) was good, and glad I had chicken w it, as a good dressing sponge. Subbed vegan feta for the goat cheese. It was....adequate
