Interestingly, in Australia the term “partner” is nearly universal in folks under 45 or so, married or not.

I used “partner” when we were unmarried in the US fully knowing that some people would assume it was a woman. After we got married I started to use “husband” a little more.

But also like I’ve spent this week playing a cozy game while watching The Bear and occasionally stopping to wind embroidery floss and eat snacks.

I’ve been sick all week with Covid. It’s a mild case, probably milder than what I had back in 2022. But I’m mad about getting it and being a baby about being sick.

But at the same time I’m enjoying having a week to just be and my jaw and tongue have been so relaxed for the first time in years.

What a beauty! I love torbies or tabbicos or whatever they’re called. So precious. 🥰

As someone who visits pets while people are away, I am begging you: if you have a wonky front door lock, please please please get it fixed. I don’t love being featured up close and in color on your doorbell camera as I try to politely and professionally try to unlock or lock your door for 5 minutes.
