Beyond disgusted to learn that Trump and his cronies refuse to commemorate World Aids Day. Disgusted but not surprised. It just gets worse.

Reading Trump's Truth Social post (trashing Mamdani) I am puzzled by the part that reads "...as a Communist, this once great city has ZERO chance of success..." That is taking personification to extremes! (And yes. I am a compulsive grammarian.)

Just curious. I may not be a mathematician but it is hard to grasp how Trump is going to lower the price of some medications by several hundred %. Does that mean people can buy them and get some free cash as well?

Listening to Trump's indecisive comments about what he should do about Iran reminds me of the jandal. For those who do not already know, the jandal is known in many countries as a flip-flop.

Their unpredictable behaviour means that they should not be relied on in dangerous situations like staircases or sporting activities like golf. They quickly become scruffy so are completely unsuitable for formal occasions.

Jandals are sometimes decorated with pretty beads or gemstones. There are drawbacks - the upper thong can break under stress, the flexible sole can bend under your foot, and they are likely to trip you up on occasion.

A favourite wardrobe item in Aotearoa New Zealand is the jandal, also called a thong. It is designed for casual footwear on the beach or in other informal settings. The jandal consists of a rubber or synthetic sole and a thin upper thong that fits between the toes.

Did I really just hear that on CNN? Gershon Baskin saying that Trump is the ONLY person who can bring about a resolution in the Gaza conflict, something that will ensure he gets his Nobel Prize?

Try as I might, I could not get a clear view of the spring that held his head in place and allowed it to nod so enthusiastically. I was hoping he would open his mouth as well so someone could aim a ping-pong ball at it. Who knows, they might have scored a hit and won a maga cap.

It was fascinating to watch the body language of Mike Johnson as he and Trump were promoting the Big Ugly Bill. Johnson alternated between gazing adoringly at his Idol and nodding his head seriously as he listened attentively to the Idol's utterances.
