At a minimum yes. They could have also asked more questions like: Were the people you saw simply naked or did they behave in a sexual manner? If they are simply naked they could just choose not to respond. There is objectively no reason to respond to someone who simply saw something they didnt like.

Case law says that quiet places in nature are generally considered suitable. Unfortunately that doesn't guarantee a forester or cop won't give you a ticket as most people don't know the law and associated case law. However if you object your fine will be dropped since you didnt do anything illegal

I don't mind that most people don't know the law as long as police officers know the law and tell people who call them that simple nudity is allowed in public places. Of course it would be great if the public also knew about it. If people know something is legal they're much more likely to accept it

If the police better understands the law and its implications and know that simply being naked is lawful they wouldn't have to respond to non-issues like naturist taking a walk and people who call the police will also get told its legal which will greatly increase acceptance.

Afterwards we contacted the Naturist foundation who said they were going to try to better inform law enforcement.

We did have to explain the law and its case laws to the police as they clearly didn't know about it and thought what we did was illegal. The unfamiliarity with the freedoms we have as naturists is a big obstacle in the acceptance of public nudity.

During my last #nakedhike with a friend of mine someone had called the police. We didnt get a ticket as we obviously didnt do anything wrong. Being naked in public is simply allowed in the Netherlands under #artikel430a on all suitable locations such as the one where we were.

I call myself a naturist. For me there is a difference, a nudist is someone who is nude just for being nude and goes out of his way to be nude like turning on the heat in winter. A naturist is nude with the naturist philosophy in mind (freedom, equality, closer to nature) and only when its practical

My energy levels are finally at a point where i felt like hiking again and as a #naturist of course it had to be a #nakedhike. Went #freehiking so i left my clothes in my bicycle bags and hiked in complete #freedom for about an hour. #normalizenaturism #legalizepublicnudity #naturism #naturisme

I've gone on freehikes where i left my clothes in the car or in my bicycle bags but never left the house without clothes and go for a walk in the park. I do want to try that but even at night you'll run into people where i live and its not legal to walk around naked in built up areas unfortunately.
