I will never get used to the disdain our country holds for brown and Black children.

From Palestine to Iran to Sudan, we normalize the destruction of schools and hospitals and daycares. We reduce children to death tolls and their futures to rubble with no consequence or second thought.

Land of the free-wheeling war machine. Home of the bravado.

I truly cannot understand being in a position of power and influence and using that to inflict harm on others. Everything seems so futile, but I will continue doing my best to be kind and uplifting my tiny circle of artists, advocates, and everyday big-hearted people.

It wasn’t a formal playlist, or else I would share it with you! I was mostly just bouncing around the various ska albums I used to listen to in high school (Keasbey Nights, Hello Rockview, et al). 🎺

No one at work knows I’m listening to a playlist of ska punk classics and that’s the only reason I’m in a slightly better mood than usual.
