I wish some major media outlets would do broad reports on the impact of death threats on our politics, and on who's doing them (MAGA men mostly from what I can tell), and why law enforcement appears to be doing so little about them. They are such a big (submerged) part of our politics now.

#BoycottChatGPT

Are Sam Altman, Markie Z and Peter Thiel actually human? I'm not convinced. Fuck AI at this point. Sure, it has some amazing medical uses, but that isn't why the Pentagon uses it. Also, humans need to use their brains and their empathy. Use or lose it.

The Trump administration learned that many of us in San Diego were relaxing at the beach yesterday and not focused on his shit reality show. That is why he bombed Iran. I’m certain of it.

OCASIO-CORTEZ STATEMENT ON
TRUMP'S COMBAT OPERATIONS IN IRAN
"The American people are once again dragged into a war they did not want by a president who does not care about the long-term consequences of his actions. This war is unlawful. It is unnecessary. And it will be catastrophic.

"Just this week, Iran and the United States were negotiating key measures that could have staved off war. The President walked away from these discussions and chose war instead.President Trump flippantly acknowledged the possibility of American casualties, stating "that often happens in war.'

"Mr. President: this was not an inevitability. This is a deliberate choice of aggression when diplomacy and security were within reach. Stop lying to the American people.

"Violence begets violence. We learned this lesson in Iraq. We learned this lesson in Afghanistan. And we are about to learn it again in Iran. Bombs have yet to create enduring democracies in the region and this will be no different.

"In moments of war, our Constitution is unambiguous: Congress authorizes war. The President does not. I will do my part to uphold our Constitution by voting YES on Representatives Ro Khanna and Thomas Massie's War Powers Resolution. Every member of Congress must join us in rejecting this aimless war.

I totally agree. BTW, killing peoples children is not a way to win their hearts. It's more an Israeli tactic of genocide.

The facts suggest two interpretive frameworks for Iran: a foreign war as a mechanism to destroy democracy at home; and a foreign war as an element of personal corruption by the president of the U.S.

I'm begging my fellow politicians, Illinoisans, and Americans to realize that right now, we aren't fighting over policy or political party.

We're fighting over whether we're going to be a country rooted in empathy and kindness β€” or one rooted in cruelty and rage.

If this is true, it's appalling behavior on the part of Rep Crockett. She's an attorney. I'm hoping that there is more to the story and it isn't true.

Shocker, Noem’s ability to shoot a puppy was a selling point. Cruelty is the goal and to these sociopaths, a reward.

Everyone doesn’t need a car. That’s where public transit comes into play and services such as Lyft, bikes that you can rent, small transport. People who can afford a car will still want one. Then they need to park it.
