We are pulling together a show of support at noon at the Stow Cafe, which is designed to be Stow Cafe regulars, so if any employees or family members of Max are around, they see familiar faces. We will hold signs of support and leave notes of support, offering to help coordinate and amplify requests for legal support funds, groceries, etc. **If you are a Stow Cafe regular, please join us.** In addition, it's likely we'll be pulling together a protest either at the Cafe or on the common in front of the church tonight or tomorrow, or the weekend, or all. Stay tuned for more information.

I wrote this song on Saturday, recorded it yesterday and released it to you today in response to the state terror being visited on the city of Minneapolis. Itβs dedicated to the people of Minneapolis, our innocent immigrant neighbors and in memory of Alex Pretti and Renee Good.

On my way to Lewiston for the No ICE protest, but Iβve been watching the breaking news out of Minneapolis, where federal agents have shot and killed another person.
Iβve seen the video and itβs horrific.
This violent occupation has to end. ICE needs to GET OUT of MN and GET OUT of Maine.

Sonja Drimmer, Associate Professor of Art History at UMass-Amherst, will talk on βA Grand Larceny: How the AI Industry Steals Our Past to Rob Our Future.β Here, she will discuss how universities and museums have partnered with commercial technology firms like Google, Microsoft, and Meta, which have promised that their AI products will enhance both historical research and accessibility to historical collections. Her talk responds to the question of why universities and museums would work with companies whose products are in many ways obstructive to the mission to educate students and the public at large about history.
