Yesterday, @reptakac.com and I met with local students at Delta to discuss recently proposed legislation on cellphone use during school hours. This was a mutually beneficial discussion about the effects of modern technology in our education system, and how students benefit vs. struggle with this.

Packed room at tonight’s State College Borough Council meeting. Most were there to discuss some sort of proactive measures condemning illegal practices by ICE. I had to leave, but there was some debate among attendees about the value of passing a simple resolution vs. an ordinance with more teeth.

We need creative solutions to address the lack of affordable housing. Today, I introduced a bill that would require the state to reserve a portion of any former state prison land it plans to sell and offer that land to the host county for affordable housing.

I had the honor of attending Judge Brandon Neuman’s installation to the PA Superior Court. As a young woman in public service and studying law, it was so rewarding to meet our honorable appellate court judges and learn about the work they do. 💛
