I remember grocery shopping w/my friend whose husband was in the army, he had a BA & entered as an officer. He earned little enough in the army that his family qualified for WIC. That shouldn’t happen. She had a list of items she could buy & the items had to have the WIC symbol next to them.

I am keeping the cycling and swimming though. I feel like I’m gaining new types of fitness and strength.

Good-ish news on the running front. Having surgery this Wednesday. My meniscus is torn. Not reparable. Instead a laparoscopic meniscectomy, which will give immediate relief for pain and help prevent reinjury. I’ll be walking from the day of the surgery and running in 4 weeks.

New England is beautiful for sure. The Great Lakes are awesome though!

Most of these places are worth a visit, but I understand prioritizing and the difficulty of travel, particularly given the current state of things. I’ve only been to Europe twice and I’ve seen England and Sweden. I know exactly where I’d go if I return.
