The National gender service currently has 7.25 staff with an 18 year waiting list. At current trends that waiting list will be 40-50 years within 5 years. To bring the waiting list down to 6 weeks like it was a decade ago in 2 years would require them hiring 96 staff...

Literally just the threat of unlimited resources from Rowling forces organizations to capitulate and it is horrifying. This is absolutely full persecution allowed due to the bigotry of billionaires and why no one can be free until they no longer exist.

the guides have made it abundantly clear that they do not want to have to do this, won't be excluding trans women from volunteering, etc but that they simply cannot defend themselves in a legal challenge against unlimited resources

This update includes information you may find upsetting. Please take care when reading. From today, it is with a heavy heart that we announce trans girls will no longer be able to join Girlguiding. This is a decision we would have preferred not to make, and we know that this may be upsetting for members of our community. There will be no immediate changes for current young members, but more information will be shared soon. Most adult roles - including unit helpers, district helpers and administrative support - are already open to all, so we are confident that no volunteers will have to leave the organisation.
