John Boyne is the person who accidentally included a recipe from Zelda: Breath of the Wild in his book because he just googled the recipe for dying fabric and didn't realize "red lizalfo tails and Hylian shrooms" were not real.

Got into a public spat with the Holocaust Museum of all people over the factual inaccuracy of '...Striped Pyjamas' and used a Legend of Zelda dye recipe in an apparently serious historical novel.

I'm glad this specifically names and discusses the mechanisms of societal transmisogyny and harsh policing of transfemininity under patriarchy, which results in transfems staying closeted for longer. While the number of trans men and women are roughly equal, trans women tend to come out later.

If anyone has spent enough time watching how GCs talk with each other online you realise soon enough that underneath all the misleading language and supposed ideals are a bunch of bullies with no personality. They're hateful, racist, self-hating losers with no moral fibre, empathy or compassion.

Now that pride month is over & all the fanfare over marriage equality has died down will there be any enthusiasm & Irish pride around gender recognition which has it's 10th anniversary in 2 weeks? Are we also going to have a serious conversation about trans people's treatment over this past decade?

A pride comic about the midnight turn of rainbow capitalism on July 1st and then various queer friends and family happy and loving each other featuring the text, "Brands turn back into pumpkins, colors go on clearance, but you're still here. I'm glad you're still here.
"July 1st."
I've had complicated feelings about this comic this year. We've seen so much quiet quitting of rainbow capitalism--a canary in the coal mine. I started wondering if I was naive to not think of when I drew this as "the good times."
I gotta say I find a lot of AI discourse around higher ed very confusing. "if ChatGPT can write your essays is college even worth it?" did people think math teachers were assigning problem sets because *they* couldn't figure out the answers?
