Yeah if people pull bad faith "arguments" with you, you don't have to engage. Even if it's some sort of heinous accusation: if you know it's just some wad pulling a strawman, you don't need to engage. It's a standard tactic among bad faith actors, & it's best to either laugh at them, or ignore them.
