I blame twitter specifically for this, where you could see who has you blocked and you can check who's muted you and I just don't think we need to know that shit, personally. It's made us all insane.

The shift of blocking going from: I don't like this, nor want to see it, otherwise I have no animosity to this, carry on with your day.

To: muting/blocking you means I want you dead and shot.

Has gotta be one of the worst linguistic updates in culture.

I think we need to teach more people it's okay to block people bc idk how many times in the heartopia group I'm in I gotta be like: instead of making a callout post, just block them and you'll be so much happier in your life.
