1/2 π’ Calling Indigenous journos in Canada
Big opportunity: @indiginews.bsky.social has launched a photojournalism fellowship, offering a week-long, all-expenses paid intensive at University of King's College this May.
The program wouldnβt have happened without the leadership of the Indigenous Journalists Association, the eagerness of staff at APTN News to take on the work of guiding new voices, and the generosity of the Google News Initiative. Weβre grateful for the opportunity to be part of this important work.

At the Community Media Awards 2025, JHR-trained journalists were honoured for their reporting from marginalized areas in #Kenya. These stories are produced under tough conditions: rough terrain, security risks, limited equipment + dangerous travel. Yet the reporting persists.
