What I DO have words for is that sometimes when our hope is yanked away from us, deep reserves of bravery step in to take its place.And we need to tap that sooner than we realize.

Then you have the "Get Along-ers". These are the people who just want "Things to go back to normal". They don't want any actual problems worked on, they just want to go about their lives without having to contend with anything that might shake up their status quo. (pt 5)

They then demand that everyone else follow those rules, and they WILL mandate it by law. (This is because their actual faith is paper thin, so people making contradictory choices literally could shred their "faith", so naturally they wanna stomp that shit out of existence.) (pt4)

They need to be told what is right, what is wrong, what is moral, and what is not, and they 100% will latch on to any figure that promises them that those kinds of decisions will be made for them. No thinking. Just tell me what to do so I don't have to think outside my comfort zone. (pt3)

Well, most of the people who are attracted to fascism are people who have authoritarian leanings. People who have said leanings have been brought up to be unable to function without a "Strong Male Authority Figure" dictating every aspect of their lives. (pt 2)

This is what's coming for us. It would seem our current boogeymen are Migrant workers, and Trans peeps, but anyone who is not a straight white male, or married to a straight white male can become a target of the fascist machinery.

Something to note: Fascism required a boogeyman to function. Fascism demands the oppression of said boogeyman to justify it's own existence. So after it annihilates one group, it literally MUST find another to attack, to continue to justify its existence.
