Any time a politician says we should leave the ECHR, the very next questions any interviewer should ask are
🚨Which human rights are you willing to lose personally
🚨Which methods of torture are you going to allow people to be sent to face
🚨Which family members would you be willing to lose

16 year olds to be given right to vote through seismic government election reforms Sixteen year olds will be given the right to vote in all UK elections as part of seismic changes to modernise UK democracy

Major electoral changes have been announced by the Labour government:

* votes at 16

* closing loopholes which allow foreign donors to influence UK political parties

* easier to register to vote

* plan to improve democratic engagement and restore trust in democracy

It’s generally curable isn’t it, NHL? My dad had stage 4 late in life and went in to full remission. Do you have a prognosis? So sorry to hear you’re going through this.

In an inconstant & unpredictable world, the absolutely certainty that the really big stuff will happen whenever I am on holiday is oddly comforting. @lewisgoodall.com will be filling his hobnailed boots today! I’m going surfing*.

The 50% drop in net migration just announced will surprise precisely nobody who has been paying attention to the issue, as opposed to exploiting and lying about it for clicks & votes. I doubt the stats will change the toxic narratives of the latter group, though.

The administration is a perfect storm of dumb people who enjoy inflicting pain and are addicted to psychotic cruelty and quadrupling down. It ends in total ruin if you don't impeach him.

Prices are soaring, your 401k is in the tank, Social Security phone lines are hours long.

Instead of addressing any of that – this administration is picking a fight with Denmark.

No media outrage 14 years ago when George Osborne vandalised the UK economy including introducing the 2 child policy and bedroom tax. What Rachel Reeves has done doesn't compare.

Figured I’d hop on here today for the 15th anniversary of the Affordable Care Act.

With everything going on right now, it’s easy to feel like regular folks can’t make a difference – but the ACA is a reminder that change is possible when we fight for progress.

Thanks for sharing your story, Rebecca. Protecting folks with pre-existing conditions – like your son – was important to us. And it’s why we have to continue working hard to protect and build on the foundation of the ACA, too.

Work was making me and 4 others redundant unless we accepted new harsher terms. They figured out of fear of no jobs, we would all sign. What they don't know is, I saw it coming and we all planned ahead to take the redundancy. It crippled them. Good.

Tonight an unbelievable **34,000 people** gathered for our Denver rally to take on billionaires and win our country back.

This was the largest political gathering in Denver since Obama in 2008.

Also bigger than the 2024 DNC.

And the largest ever rally in Bernie’s career (and obviously, mine too).

One of my companies informed me they cancelled a $2m conference in Florida. Why ?

They didn’t feel they could pass on the incremental cost of tariffs. So they are cutting expenses.

That’s a city that lost a ton of tourism revenue.

The cost of tariffs isn’t just the cost of the tariff

It's most confusing seeing posts telling me to change the clocks tonight.

Because here in the UK it happens on the 30th March, not the 9th.

Can all the people posting about clocks changing please put their country in their post?

Other parts of the world do exist and Europe is not changing clocks today.
