Millions of Americans are facing food stamp cuts as grocery costs continue to rise The Republicans' "big, beautiful" spending and tax law will result in cuts to food stamp benefits for many Americans, experts say.

"Because of changes that are starting to roll out from Trump's 'big, beautiful' bill... about 2.4 million people could lose access to the food stamps per month...

"Millions more will see their monthly benefit amounts shrink because of changes mandated by the law...

ICE Is Deporting People to Africa on Nearly Un-Trackable Military Flights Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) is deporting people to African countries like Ghana on military flights that are nearly un-trackable.

NEW: Air Force jets are doing ICE flights to Africa with transponders turned off, making them nearly un-trackable.

This includes the third-country removal to Ghana and another secret flight. We figured out where it landed.

U.S. Attorney Investigating Two Trump Foes Resigns After President Seeks to Oust Him

Erik Siebert, a U.S. attorney, was expected to fabricate a case against Letitia James. He misunderstood his assignment and told DOJ that investigators found insufficient evidence to bring charges against Ms. James. Trump called for his ouster.

Legacy Media Bows to Trump, But I Never Will Read more here.

Due to demand, Democracy Docket has dropped the paywall on my latest.

To say that the media is bending a knee, falsely assumes there are still hardened bones and a joint in place in their operations. Their mission now is to report the news fearfully and to seek Trump’s favor.

Trump’s Ouster of Jimmy Kimmel Is Much Worse than You Think It Is Anna Gomez, the FCC’s lone Democratic commissioner, tells TNR that her boss’ move violates both the First Amendment and the Communications Act. Democrats must extract consequences.

NEWS --> Anna Gomez, the lone Dem on the FCC, tells me the Trump admin's pressure to oust Jimmy Kimmel may be unlawful as well as unconstitutional. FCC chair Brendan Carr may be committing censorship in violation of federal law.

That and much more in my new piece:

Dear members of the Northwestern community,
With the new academic year upon us, we'd like to take a moment to reflect on the core of our mission - to create space for teaching and learning, where ideas flow freely, we learn from one another and push each other to create and discover.
This pursuit happens every day β€” all around us β€” in classrooms and labs, on stages and playing fields.
However, in our increasingly polarized world, at times we experience pain, confusion and challenging situations.
With that in mind, it's important to know the policies listed below that facilitate healthy dialogue, respectful disagreement and the exchange of ideas so that we can do our best work as students, faculty and staff.
We encourage everyone to take the time to read through these documents fully.
Demonstration Policy
The Demonstration Policy includes requirements and guidance on how, when and where members of the community may protest or otherwise engage in expressive activity. The policy prohibits overnight demonstrations and limits activity that disrupts classes and other functions of the University, including prohibiting demonstrations at the Rock before 3 p.m. on weekdays and the use of amplified sound in that area before 5 p.m.

The Display and Solicitation Policy sets clear rules and requirements for on-campus displays, including flyers, banners, chalking and 3-D installations. The policy establishes designated areas for flyers, chalking and other displays and details when the University removes displays. This policy also prohibits the use of tents (with exceptions for University-sponsored events and for the purposes of guarding and painting the Rock), light displays and chalking on buildings. Signs that violate laws and other University policies are prohibited.

The Student Handbook, which contains the Student Code of Conduct (page 9), is updated each year. As a reminder, last year we made several policy changes, including:
- An Intimidation Standard that explicitly prohibits subjecting another person or group to abusive, demeaning, harassing, humiliating, intimidating, threatening or violent behavior that substantially affects the ability of the person or group to learn, work or live in the University environment. Examples of violations to this policy include physical threats, verbal or written communication to threaten violence, the use of symbols, words or graphics to threaten violence, acts of doxing, and abusive behavior toward a University official or agent acting in performance of their duties, among others. It also prohibits engaging in abusive, demeaning, harassing, humiliating, intimidating or threatening behavior that excludes a student from joining or participating in a student organization.
β€’ The Failure to Comply Standard includes specific examples and to make clear that students are required to comply with the requests, directives and instructions of University officials acting in performance of their duties. Under this policy, students must identify themselves, including removing face masks or coverings for purposes of identification when asked by an authorized University official who is addressing law or policy violations and health or safety concerns.

The Misuse of University Properties policy defines misuse, including unauthorized access to athletics fields and construction sites and attending or participating in an event in University spaces that violates the policies governing that space.
- The Destruction of Property Standard defines what applies under this policy to include tampering with University property.
Faculty and staff are encouraged to review their respective handbooks. Each member of the Northwestern community is expected to interact with each other with respect and consideration.
Additional Policies
In addition to the policies above, we want to remind you about the Office of Civil Rights and Title IX Compliance (OCR) policies concerning discrimination, harassment and sexual misconduct:
β€’ Policy on Discrimination, Harassment, and Sexual Misconduct: This policy covers a wide range of discriminatory and harassing behaviors, including those based on race, ethnicity, religion, sex and other protected characteristics.
β€’ Policy on Title IX Sexual Harassment: This policy specifically addresses sexual harassment and sexual misconduct consistent with Title IX.
β€’ Reasonable Accommodation Policy: This policy explains the availability of accommodations for students, employees, job applicants, visitors and other third parties on the bases of disability, pregnancy, lactation and religion.
β€’ Reporting by University Employees of Disclosures Related to Discrimination and Harassment: This policy sets out the reporting requirements for employees when they learn about discrimination, harassment and sexual

As Trump holds Northwestern University hostage with $800 million in frozen funds, Northwestern leadership cracks down on students' right to free speech.

These policies put more than 22,000 students at risk of punishment for peacefully protesting for any cause in any way.

There Will Be Retribution From Marc | Donald Trump will insist on using the powers of the state to attack his political opponents.

When I wrote this in January, people said I was an alarmist. Today, the New York Times reported that β€œSenior officials in the federal government have taken over a conservative media entity to talk about a crackdown on anti-conservative thought and speech.”

Yes, a crackdown on thought and speech.

At the time, he and his star-studded team of defense lawyers were closing in on a generous plea deal with federal and state officials in Florida, and Epstein was trying to negotiate the state charges to which he’d plead guilty. Maxwell’s response was matter-of-fact:
