10 years ago I became a migrant.

Maybe you wont read this but i wanted to share that as a Venezuelan (that also have a myriad of Iranian friends) i totally understand what you are going through, you are not alone.

We have to be able to understand multiple things at the same time. We can celebrate the death of a tyrant while also recognizing Tr*mp’s abuse of power in going to war against the wishes of the people and without permission from Congress.

Just because you don’t know what it’s like to live under tyranny for 47 years and lack empathy doesn’t make the people who have “insane and evil”

A lot of you know nothing about Iran and Iranians’ efforts to free themselves from the Islamic Republic of Iran, and it shows. Celebrating the death of the man who terrorized us is the most obvious thing to do. Please stop telling Iranians how we should react.

People are celebrating all over Iran—this is in Shiraz. They’ve been out in the streets for decades shouting “death to Khamenei”—and it finally happened. Long live Iran!

One thing folks should know is a lot of people in Iran wanted the US to strike. They’ve done everything they can on their own to eliminate this regime and were desperate for help, even understanding the costs of that help. I don’t personally agree, but my opinion doesn’t matter bc I don’t live there
