Mr. President, you love playing the schoolyard bully but, at age 79, itโ€™s time to cut it out. Itโ€™s one thing to steal one kidโ€™s lunch money, but your bill STEALS LUNCH MONEY FROM MILLIONS OF KIDS. Now, thatโ€™s real ugly.

I know the media is going to unthinkingly start using โ€œAlligator Alcatraz,โ€ but itโ€™s disgusting and sadistic and I intend to call it what it is, a fucking concentration camp, and fuck those people who are doing this and giving it a cutesy name.

From a distance you can see a mountain landscape with a blue sky and a few hazy clouds. on the sides of the picture you can see parts of trees. On the left in light green, on the right a smaller dark green tree further away. in the center is a black box on which is written in white โ€œOnly caring about your own right is exactly how you lose themโ€.

The majority cannot deny that our Constitution was designed to split the powers of a monarch between the governing branches to protect the People. Nor is it debatable that
the role of the Judiciary in our constitutional scheme is to
ensure fidelity to law. But these core values are strangely
absent from todayโ€™s decision. Focusing on inapt comparisons to impotent English tribunals, the majority ignores the
Judiciaryโ€™s foundational duty to uphold the Constitution
and laws of the United States. The majorityโ€™s ruling thus
not only diverges from first principles, it is also profoundly
dangerous, since it gives the Executive the go-ahead to
sometimes wield the kind of unchecked, arbitrary power the
Founders crafted our Constitution to eradicate. The very
institution our founding charter charges with the duty to
ensure universal adherence to the law now requires judges
to shrug and turn their backs to intermittent lawlessness.
With deep disillusionment, I dissent.

KBJ, in dissent, calls today's ruling "profoundly dangerous" and an "existential threat to the rule of law." She expresses her "deep disillusionment" with the court and suggests that the conservative supermajority continues to crown Trump a king above law. www.supremecourt.gov/opinions/24p...

ICE Arrests Mississippi Father at His Citizenship Hearing ICE arrested Kasper Eriksen, a Mississippi father, at his citizenship hearing, imprisoning him and threatening him with deportation.

When he showed up to an immigration meeting in Memphis, Kasper Eriksen thought he was on the verge of becoming a citizen.

Then ICE arrested the Mississippi father of four, not even giving him a chance to say goodbye to his wife, whisking him away to a prison.

While I appreciate the "lock him up" and "impeach him" sentiments (and I'm with you), if Mueller, Garland, and impeachment taught us anything, its that 1) SCOTUS is corrupt and 2) We have to do this ourselves. As I've been saying for nearly 8 years: it's up to us. Always has been.
