Pub 3307, Black Boy, Bridgnorth. Landlady like a kinda Kim Wilde Richard Burton crossover. Amazing pub. Floor doesn't need a carpet, solid outdoor loo. My Enville Ginger digestion banter deserves more praise. I feel like i'm on holiday! And I am.

Pub 3305, Lion O'Morfe, Upper Farmcote. Huge fan of Liono off Thundercats, but found Morph a bit irritating. But what a farmhouse gem 😍. Free soup n bread for this weary walker! Uber back arrived in 2 mins. Errm, how? Had to neck the Town Crier, thankfully gorgeous!

Pub 3304, Dog & Davenport, Worfield. Don't mind well behaved dogs, and never hated Peter Davenport. Quiet guvnor in sensible shirt serves me a tricky Three Tuns with top lacings. Only customer. Gorgeous pub, though they'd love fooders in. Tunes of Rob Base & DJ EZ Rock.

Terrible renaming. Glad it reverted!

Pub 3302, Railway Tavern, Newtown. Wow, new pub of year contender. Gizmo the dog. In a smoky parlour chasing a tennis ball. Three Tuns drinking well.

Bricklayers Arms, Shrewsbury. My local. Recently done up by Joules and it is a smoky beauty. Slumbering Monk a bit soapy but let's not be harsh. Bloke tells wife he lost his fire long ago... Err, happy IWD! Get it in the GBG.

Yeah interesting in that it was very much a flat white of beers. Like a frothy coffee. Gotta commend it! But I'd prefer something more espresso n big coffee flavours!

Post - emptive, Montgomery's Tower, Shrewsbury. The carpet swirls, the temperature drops, one bar is out of use. My arms flail. Curses! I'm asked to move left. Flat white, but a beer. Gadzooks. Back in England. Not sober. Who knew?

Pub 3301, Brew Hub, Newtown. So much coffee, cake n whisky chatter, I felt boring getting beer. But then a bloke orders a cup of tea, I say 'that makes me feel better!' and whole pub (6 people) laugh. Feel better now. Good ale too.

Pub 3300, Black Boy. Chunky wood timbered Spoons. Ale ain't clearing, but the chilly gloom of a haunted 17th century building gives me hope. Ungrateful boy bullied into fish n chips by katsu Mummy. Barman asks me what time it is .... '71 minutes til I finish yesss!' he says.

I'll be there! Not too confident but ya gotta believe!

Pub 3299, Ship & Castle, Aberystwyth. 2pm opener so had to be quick, but pub is pick of the lot! Very proper. Gorge chat with Jasmine from Liphook who appreciates my south of Guildford knowledge, shout out Ed Wray woo. V good beer. Ran for train n made it with a big burp.

It is, just been! Quallo outlet.

Pre-emptive Yr Hen Orsaf, Aberystwyth. Station side. Strong version of Green Jack Orange Wheat, just the job. The carpet really failed to materialise until you got to loos staircase. Decent Spoons but not as good as the 3 GBG pubs.

Pub 3298, Bottle & Barrel, Aberystwyth. Drab bottle-o which won't see the end of BRAPA. But in fairness, lovely staff, invigorating Irish fiddle music and actual bar seating (rare for some bottle shops). Turning Point is clear n fresh. Welsh rugby fan wonders what went wrong.

Oh dominoes, thought you meant something else for a sec 🫣😆

Pub 3297, Glengower Hotel, Aberystwyth. My Moho lacks mojo but I love everything else about this coastal gem. NI barmaid can't brush her teeth for long cos a pigeon lives in her boiler. Ain't everyone happy? Bunch of bell ringing pirates outside wearing glittery capes!

Orange is previous GBG ticks, green is the current one. It was a suggestion by Tim Thomas of Newbury, and it's worked well!

Pub 3296, Boot inn, Wellington. A very nice Micropub where a dude called Dave plus Kelly n Louise recognises me from that BRAPA thing so I sit with them and it is lovely. Oakham Citra 5 star. Telford is lovely if you think about it carefully.

Pub 3294, Wrekin Inn, Wellington. Pronounced reekin' and the toilets do! Bit like an estate nightclub, 2am vibes . Purple neon lights slither through, and pissed urchins wield pool cues with gay abandon, with emphasis on abandon. Jester drinks with pure jollity.

Admire your confidence. We will see won't we ? 🦚😄

Pub 3293, Station Hotel, Oakengates. Ronnie Pickering (WHO?) drinks insipid which he'd hate. Rough day for Hull. Superb tiled floor, warm toasty wood burner, kind bald locals, and staff unnecessarily uniformed, vague railway theme. Three ace pubs within a few yards!

I know Rich, looks like we'll be playing you next season after all 😢.
