Social change, of course, is the driving purpose of the Trump administration.
End diversity, equity, and inclusion
Promote white masculinity
Send women back to the home
Eliminate black people from the public sphere
Eliminate trans people
Eliminate immigrants
Christianity uber alles!

The funniest part of that Christopher Caldwell op-ed in the NYT today is
"Mr. Hegseth was there to announce that the Trump administration would no longer use the militaryβs structures to drive social change."
Mr. Caldwell, of course, is a DEI hire to "balance" conservatism at the Times. 1/
I was in a Kansas bookstore yesterday, and two women in front of me were discussing the Kansas Eisenhower Museum Director who refused to give Trump a sword from the museum and was fired.
They were appalled, and it became a conversation between several others in line. The news is getting outβ¦
BONDI: The National Guard is on the way right now as we speak. You're sitting here grilling me and they're on their way to Chicago to keep your state safe.

What I just canβt shake these days is the specter of βend times fascism.β The thought that certain oligarchs foresee only crisis with no viable fix. That their abandonment of the future, so stupid by our standards, has a certain rationality for those who can provision some kind of exit.
