I want the MI Melee oldheads to know Charlie Harper made an attempt on my life buying me Nubby's Number Factory while I'm going through SSRI withdrawals and getting disoriented every time serotonin from stimulation hits

Every situation feels really novel and rewards awareness like doubles but more constant, social vibe was incredible (3 people working together on their own CRT feels like a coop game or stacking in a Ranked game). Felt like a great opportunity to explore stage mods and rulesets too

The triples April Fools ranking just makes me sad there probably won't be another triples bracket at a regional unless PGH does it again :(

I have been offered a full time job by the company I intern for with a pretty competitive offer

Idk how I l've gotten so lucky to avoid having to interact with the job market after graduation but I am unbelievably grateful

Also means I'm prob staying in the AA area for the indefinite future

2024 was objectively good and full of progress but I feel ripped to shreds by fear of the future

Considering writing another journal about my year like I did for 2023 but it feels self indulgent

I feel so lucky to be able to wake up to this every day

I really do like AOE2's simpler differences in civilizations with a deeper universal tech tree, but AOE3 has been a soft spot for me since it takes place in history I've always been more fascinated with + has an interesting deck build system. Definitely miss 2's slower pace and simpler civs though

My bf got me into Age of Empires and its my first RTS (though he cant stand watching me play because I spam actions and try to micro a bunch of things because I used to play a lot of Dota)

We play that a lot + I like playing it versus bots as a fidget game since Tetris has been hurting my hands :(

I mostly just play CS2 to keep in contact with dear friends, can't say I like it more than CSGO though. I played enough with intent that I feel I can appreciate it's depth a lot but I've lost any interest in taking it seriously. Still my favorite pvp game to play that isn't melee though

Lethal Company was sort of a fad that lost a lot of people's attention but it still really impresses me that it's still a funny ass clip generator even when you play for the objective (+proximity chat is a cool party-ish organic rotation of conversations instead of an overstimulating discord call)

ROR2 has been a lot of fun, been having a ~weekly coop Eclipse (bonus difficulty) session and it's really fun strategizing around what items you pull or what you have good odds on getting

Even after two patches I'm not sure the new DLC has been a net positive but new things to learn are always fun

My Steam review is pretty much exactly what I expected and reflects my mental state, which is that I adore games as generative shared experiences but people on the internet are kind of disgusting so I've steadily been reclusing into infinitely replayable coop stuff instead lol
