ER was load-bearing for my generation. Back before streaming existed, we all watched Friends and ER every Thursday night. It was more than tv - it was a shared experience on a national scale. Plus, George Clooney.

I won't lie, I started watching bc it's comforting to see Noah Wylie working in an emergency room again. But the show is excellent in its own right.

The Pitt is really good. Harrowing, but good.

I believe I understand your point, but "punish" is a broad term - speech that espouses odious views deserves to be punished via loss of status, community, sometimes even employment. The government shouldn't mete out that punishment, but society should.

I don't really subscribe to the general 'hockey players are so chivalrous' thing anymore due to all the, you know, rape and such. But it was nice of that hockey player to offer to help.

My enduring memory of him was that he very kindly offered to help me with my suitcase once and I nearly dislocated my shoulder grabbing it to make sure he didn't. Last thing I needed was for him to tweak something and have everyone blame me!
