The full kit for the tribute to Eddie Sotto is now complete. I couldn’t do more in such a short time, but I believe I’ve put together something thoughtful and complete, with careful attention to detail.

I hope you enjoy it!

We may never know for sure, but it is quite possible that the rear façade of Disney Clothiers at DLP was inspired by the Carson House, also known as the Pink Lady.

The event honoring Eddie Sotto’s vision is now full. An overwhelming response exceeded expectations and reflects the community’s desire to celebrate the legacy he leaves behind.

The barbershop was actually in the same location as well. Same exterior, but a different atmosphere inside for Euro Disney.

We often forget that WDW and EDL (DLP) were almost exact copies of each other. If we compare Flower Street in France and the former West Center Street in Orlando, only the buildings at the far end were changed to accommodate the arcades.

One moment that stayed with me after #DisneylandHandcrafted is Walt explaining his view on money, a vision still carried on by his great-niece and one some should take inspiration from.

I searched your website for “Eddie Sotto.” I don’t know if all MSUSA content is attributed to him, but if so, that isn’t accurate.

I had already archived the photos on my Facebook account in albums to make them easier to browse. This might be useful to you.

Well done. I don’t know how you managed to extract all his documents, but I had the same thought. We should preserve his content.

As I am not very active on Bluesky, I did not share this here, however we have launched a poll on *Instagram* and *Twitter* to see whether people would be interested in gathering at DLP on Eddie’s birthday to honor his memory and the legacy he left behind.

Much remains untold, but what he shared already offers invaluable insight into the creative process behind the scenes, and his legacy speaks for itself.

My thoughts are with his family and all those who appreciated him.

As an admirer of his work, I experienced his generosity through the way he openly shared his stories and knowledge, making himself accessible in a rare way. I never had the chance to meet him, although he had hoped we would meet in Paris after the publication of the book dedicated to Main Street.

Moreover, we discovered many attractions that were considered for DLP. Frontierland ended up being the land with the fewest changes, while Discoveryland was the most modified.

And the Matterhorn was planned to replace the water tower?! 😱

Overall, it's a good restoration of the place, there are definitely some nice things. But if we're being picky, the M&M’s stands kind of overwhelm the decor, the entrance counter looked better when it was angled, and the moving props were better where they used to be. Missing the ceiling painting 😊
