here's my roughs for Monkey Wrench episode 5! This became one of my all-time favorite animation gigs yet. It was a rare moment to try my hand at drama instead of comedy and reminded me of why I love this job, despite everything. 💖

Made a few stickers for some work friends

Overall, I can already see some stuff that could be improved. But big props to the rest of the bg/cleanup/fx/comp team that tackled this shot✨✨

Some inbetweening before adding the hair and tail. This was the last pass before doing the final roughs (🧵 4/4)

I then imported a rig(from Mixamo) and posed it to make sure I would keep the proportions consistent. After that, added some keys! (🧵 3/4)

I was given a 3d cam video to use as reference. I added some marks for the character's feet placement. (🧵 2/4)
