What crises are universities grappling with, and what futures might lie ahead for universities *after* crisis?

How does the language or concept of crisis help us understand and reshape universities for the better?

"Universities are in crisis", right? 🆘

But, after years and years of 'crisis' talk in higher ed, what, if anything, has changed?

Are universities still in crisis, or are they now *beyond* crisis?

No. 1 highlight has to be the Annual International Conference. Organising this event whilst finishing up my PhD was crazy intense but so, so much fun, esp alongside a great team 🔥 Maybe (definitely) one of my proudest achievements in geography! 🙌

Now, after a busy year, time for some rest 😊

Reaching the end of my one-year term as Research Manager at @rgsibg.bsky.social today! It's been a blast learning so much about (and contributing a teeny bit to) academic geography, and making so many new connections across the discipline 🌏 Thanks to everyone for being great 🤩
