we had history, I guess. and I miss the stability. if nothing else, we would always call at 8pm. I miss those calls.

I don't miss what the calls were about.

despite me being uncomfortable and feeling like I was more on the outside or like a little sibling they had to let join in, they were still the people I trusted more than anyone

I lost a friend I wanted to keep in the process, I loved him more than anyone. he was the first I told about my father

every so often it suddenly comes back to me that I lost my closest and only friends of almost a decade

I mean, I know that being without them is the best for me, because one of them was stuck in time and was dragging down with them, and I'm doing better mentally

but I miss them, you know?

I love hearing stories where kids are loved. Today it's a story of a man getting a divorce because his wife cheated, and his stepdaughter was scared he didn't love her anymore, but he reassured her he did and they could still have the father daughter relationship they had before the divorce. 🥹
