It will provide an evidence-based overview of current knowledge on AI applications in crisis management and present frameworks to understand their risks and opportunities.

It coincides with the release of the SAM rapid evidence review report on“Artificial Intelligence in Emergency and Crisis Management”. The European Commission’s DG ECHO requested the report for the Emergency Response Coordination Centre.

The event is organised by the Telecommunications Standardization Bureau (TSB) of the International Telecommunication Union (ITU), in collaboration with the European Commission’s DG ECHO.
