America’s super-rich are running down the planet’s safe climate spaces, says Oxfam Data shows wealthiest 0.1% of the US burn carbon at 4,000 times the rate of the world’s poorest 10%

The wealthiest 0.1% emit an average of 2.2 tonnes of #CO2 every day, equivalent to the weight of a rhinoceros

At the other, a citizen of #Somalia burns off just 82 grams barely the mass of a single tomato

The average for everyone on the planet is 12kg a day

Excited to partner with Makers Mark grain growers in the adoption of regenerative practices. Star Hill Whiskey is their flagship spirit, 100% regenerative! I’ve worked with the world’s largest bourbon companies & MM is low-key the most thoughtful and regenerative in every way. Stunning campus!

If you’re looking for a slow, visually stunning movie featuring the exquisite preparation of food with deepest of care and love between two in love, which takes place pretty much in the kitchen of my dreams adjacent to abundant gardens, then please do watch β€œThe Taste of Things” on Hulu πŸ’›

A lovely day on friends farm in my home county of Woodford (Ky) They’ve restored native grasses across much of their 80 acres. I was captivated w the tall deep-rooted Indian blue-stem grass. perennial warm-season bunchgrass in the sorghum family -the main roots are 6–10 ft deep!

Listen to what Robert has to say about what you can do between now and the 2026 midterm elections.

And download the app '5 Calls'.

the survey data is in the article- further evidence that you did not read it and that credible evidence means nothing to you. sigh. i tried. i went down the rigged election rabbit hole as well. There is no credible evidence. Give it up and put your efforts into getting out the midterm vote

Trump still would have won in 2024 even if everyone had turned out to vote, Pew finds In 2024, 64% of the eligible-voting population turned out, the second highest in 120 years. New data show that even if all those voters who stayed home had voted, Trump would still be president today.

I’m sorry, but there’s too much validated evidence to the contrary. @pewresearch.org is one of the most credible survey orgs and they found that even if everyone eligible to vote voted, he still would have won. www.npr.org/2025/06/26/n...

A beautiful, heartbreaking, healing story out of my home county (Woodford, KY). The extraordinary Billy Strings was here for a show and at 5:30 am learned his mom had passed unexpectedly. He walked many crooked miles and landed at a church we all know as β€œthe thin place” rb.gy/put5id

Bariatric Surgery Beats GLP-1 RAs for Sustained Weight Loss Bariatric surgery is associated with a significantly greater long-term weight loss than treatment with GLP-1 receptor agonists, a new head-to-head real-world study finds.

@erictopol.bsky.social have you seen this preview from Medscape, Bariatric vs GLP-RA? I suspect it has something to do with 70% of folks going off of GLP one in the first year but curious the see the full study www.medscape.com/viewarticle/...

silicon valley jumped the shark long ago. When my husband and I moved off to Palo Alto in the early 80s for his PhD at Stanford, we were in the Halcyon days of Silicon Valley. The whole existence of Silicon Valley was based on a very simple premise: Trust First. That shit is dead as a doornail
