I have no idea WHY - I’m objectively extremely lovable! And I still love his work. He did a great job on the episode. I just learned to steer clear of him.

I find myself in the delightful position of not having to guess on this one - while I’ve had such wonderful luck meeting so many actors I love, there was ONE guest star whose work I’d admired since I was a kid, whom I finally met on an ep I wrote, and he just DETESTED me from the start. 🤷🏻‍♂️

People stopped caring after Single Ladies??! Why do I suspect this was based on an informal poll consisting of asking everyone sitting in the writer’s chair at the time of writing?

We still live in a world where queer characters on television are expendable at a rate far, far higher than straight ones. I want to be surprised every time it happens, but I am not anymore.

Every single piece of promotion and every review said “it’s not a cartoon for kids!” We didn’t listen.

… though I also enjoy Marion Ross playing Edward Hermann’s mother on #GilmoreGirls and Kurtwood Smith’s mother on #That70sShow. She had a 15-year age difference with each.

My favorite will always, always be Judith Light playing Mitch Pileggi’s mother on #Dallas. She is 3 years older than he is.

Grant Park in downtown Los Angeles, full of union members peacefully singing and talking and carrying their signs.

For those who live elsewhere, this is the heart of downtown #LosAngeles. My friends are here. My union is here (sup @wgawest.bsky.social). My teenager is here. People are passing out pastries & singing & praying. All we want is for our neighbors not to be kidnapped off the streets.

I absolutely reference this moment at least once a month.
