RE that RT.. it’s wild how steam reviews are still so damn important to getting visibility. If you play and like indie games, the most generous and helpful thing you can do is spend an hour popping positive reviews onto anything you like with <500 or so reviews.

Italian voice actor Carlo Bononi was the voice of all of the characters on Pingu. A trained clown by trade, he used a theater technique called grammelot, which consists of "speaking" in a mix of babbled gibberish noises. He improvised all the voices live and unscripted.

We did something different with the credits for Demonschool. We used this format: name, title, lengthy description of what they did. Often you see credits in games where you don't know what the credited developer was actually responsible for. We wanted to give people proper, actual credit.

A designer would complete a mock-up for a castle level, and Mr Miyazaki would look at it and say "Can this be a swamp?"

One day, we came in and found that Mr Miyazaki had flooded his office and was hopping around on the carpet barefoot, squealing with joy.

"Splish splash!" he screamed, over and over. "Splish splash!"
