Welp. I need a LOT more practice.

I’m trying to learn to paint with watercolors. Something I learned with this attempt is that I need to let things dry before I add more pigment/water.

Ugh. He’s only been right when winter is longer??? I’m not a fan of that.

T’was ABSOLUTELY worth it.

A small portion of the grease (and all the delicious gremlins left in the pan) was used to fry up some potatoes (reds, with onion), and a couple of eggs were added for garnish.

When the onions and potatoes go from salty-peppery to sweet and creamy…. I’m in heaven.

That’s just it- the host has paid lip service to those that can do him a favor, and those people have become his apologists. He will never have to apologize as long as people are out there defending him.

Some would say “Better the devil you know than the devil you don’t.”

I say: “Let’s not platform, promote, and cover for devils.”

And what you’re missing is: I’m telling you there’s a snake in our midst. You’re saying that it’s more of a lizard than a snake, there are worse snakes, and that we should all trust this one.

It’s sad that we’re left at “well, he’s not AS bad, so he’s good enough”.

You say that, but I commented on the post here on BlueSky, and there was no acknowledgement. It seems like he’s more interested in paying lip service when it benefits him, and not actually being responsible. It will be up to him to prove me wrong.

Which is fair (sadly), but this guy is “the official podcast of AANR”. That position should go to a solid person, not to someone prone to disparaging remarks.

I don’t waste time on things that I don’t find to be valuable or beneficial, and those comments - without any known public response/acknowledgement- have left me feeling some kind of way about them included as part of PN.

Has he publicly apologized?

Have they overcome their fatphobia yet?

If this had been a racist comment, his show would have lost listeners/ended.

For fat-shaming to somehow be exempt is awful.

AANR leadership should be actively involved in making sure that any “official” voice for the organization is avoiding bigotry and apologizing when they misspeak.

We, the naturist community, need to be outspoken in holding people of influence accountable for saying things like this.

Naturism celebrates ALL BODIES. Full stop.

The health of an individual is THEIR BUSINESS, not yours. Their health is for them to deal with, not for anyone else to comment on.

Last year, the host of this podcast (NNN) made clear, direct comments that disparaged people that he sees as fat/unhealthy. As if it’s his place.

As the “official” podcast for AANR, I find it objectionable and irresponsible.

Seeing them included here is gross.
