As an aside, despite what I wrote, I have it on good authority that attempts have been made before to do a belated official loc of Segagaga. Clearly it remains a worthwhile endeavor and if any Sega folks are reading this, I would strongly encourage you to set the record straight for your own game.

I will not mince words: Segagaga is a deeply personal, human game about passionate developers making the best of a bad situation. This is not the first patch to employ MTPE as a shortcut, but it is particularly tone deaf to deploy in this climate for a game about the people who made Sega what it is.

I say this as a professional who came up from fan translation and has friends at Sega who will likely never get to work on this officially: when you fan translate ANYTHING that was previously untranslated, you have a deep, heavy responsibility in setting people's first and typically only impression.
