imo I think A3 should've been broken up with some other type of challenge like HK's White Palace to diversify its set pieces, instead of forcing you to do 3 straight boss fights of considerable difficulty to progress. As it stands despite Silksong's fantastic movement, not much of it is tested.

I do think Silksong's endgame is too boss-overloaded structurally, there isn't a whole lot of mandatory things to do that isn't "go to x and kill someone", and I think despite the world changes, exploration isn't wholly rewarding either due to that

she definitely is a bit of a low point imo, she combines a speed equivalent to the penultimate boss of the last game's final DLC with the unreadability of one of the most annoying bosses from the last game in GP, which makes for a noxious combination imo

yeah the gameplay loop is mostly the same between the campaigns and isn't too different from the base game, mostly it diverges in terms of abilities and goals.

for me i found it disappointing because while it was tons of content, it wasn't rly what i was looking for in a RW DLC. I haven't played Watcher yet but from what I've heard it's a lot closer to base game in terms of style, story, & structure (the OG devs returned for it). i hope this helps! (2/2)

i'm not sure if you'll love it tbh. DP's campaigns are more linear than the base game, & it's more upfront with its story/lore (& imo takes a v different turn thematically). which i suppose makes sense since the original devs weren't rly involved w/ it. up to you if you want to try it out... (1/?)
