i finally finished this, and it's now mid-february. whoops.

the game's short length. Regardless, still a game with great level design, lots of charm, lovely multitasking, enjoyable bosses, & well tuned side content, even if the game is overall easy. I'd just rather play Deluxe though; the new content is nice, & it's just more mechanically solid imo (2/2).

Pikmin 3 (2013): 8/10. A worse version of a game that I still adore. I don't really have much to say; this game may have been built for the Wii U, but I certainly prefer 3DX's Pro Controller Gyro's control scheme. I think missing content like the Piklopedia is pretty glaring esp. given... (1/2)

It's not perfect; the progression & guidance is way too obscure even compared to vanilla, some regions suck major ass, the DLC's launch was a disaster, & there are some missed opportunities. But at last, it feels good to finally be happy with how I feel about this game again. (3/3)

largely comes out a winner. A great thematic expansion on the original game's themes/cosmology, and structurally a very bizarre & unique campaign of warping through regions to connect (or sever). Your abilities feel more earned here, & there's some touching moments and incredible visuals. (2/3)

Rain World: The Watcher (2025): 8/10. Rain World, redeemed. I still struggle w/ how much the Downpour DLC frustrated me with its thematic inversions on the base game, writing, & decisions (which makes sense given MSC was 1st & foremost a fan mod), so I was extremely hesitant. ...which I actually really enjoyed (though you can skip them, I chose not to). The open world is quite large but it doesn't feel like there's much to actually do in it, besides shop for clothes or play minigames. I guess I just really wish I liked it more. (2/2)

To a T (2025): 6.5/10. I will buy anything Keita puts out, but this is his weakest project IMO. Still very charming in dialogue & aesthetic, to be expected, but as a game, it's not as enjoyable as his earlier nor do I think it fully embodies Teen's abled struggles, bar the morning routines... (1/2)
