This is literally how @brazenhead.bsky.social and I spent our evening. And now I have new insight into why a high school friend who loved these books also had wall swords.

After being held in two of them as a boy, I fought for decades urging America to never again build concentration camps and put human beings in them. It breaks my heart to watch this happen twice now in my own lifetime.

If you read the articles in the final sources slide, you'll learn there is a pattern of ICE lying about what the victims were doing before they were killed and the manner of their deaths. Not everyone is a perfect victim, but none of them deserved to be killed.

January isn't yet over and at least nine people have been murdered by ICE this month, six of them in ICE detention and three in the streets.
