Footage and collecting of this genus is very scarce. So any bit of geographic data can be very informative. There’s estimations of 3-4 undescribed species of Sandalops.

Science IRL decisions went out today!

We were able to fund 13 of the 77 proposals that were submitted. They are communicating science in stage productions, boxes at bus stations, interactive frog statues, musical performances, farmers market tables, backs of cars, knitting clubs, and much more.

No problem! Always feel free to tag if you see some cool squid :D. I don't know by heart but it looks like some oegopsid squid larvae. Not Chiroteuthid, ommastrephid, brachioteuthid, or pyroteuthid.

I CANNOT wait to be back in New Zealand, but I am always so worried about my family. As a member of the LGBT, this is such an impactful person who is going to destroy the rights of minorities, LGBTQ2+, women, and so many people. Please let these next four years go by so fast!!

I try not to talk politics because it leads to nothing but chaos... but I am so MAD at the United States for allowing Donald Trump to do all the things he is doing. We should NOT be pulling out of WHO... we SHOULD keep DEI initiatives... We should NOT be pulling out of the Paris accord AGAIN.

I knew it ;)

Absolutely exciting to get to venture and work in my first ever museum collections! Delaware Museum of Nature & Science... our Brachioteuthid fun begins tomorrow!! Technically today... but it was only for thirty minutes! Also got to see my favorite (second) cephalopod up close! Vampyroteuthis!!!

Chaetogasters are wild!! Pretty much all are carnivores... and then this C. limnaei that's a butthole little parasite haha.
