✴️ is a valuable resource to study specific stages of the predatory process, contributing to advance the search for novel antimicrobial enzymes.
Our work
✴️ presents the first quantitative predator proteome over the whole predatory process in which B. bacteriovorus (the predatory bacterium) kills, digests and lyses the bigger prey bacterium.
✴️ reveals that one predator protease is highly abundant during and involved in the prey exit process.
Multiple small, curved, predatory bacteria (Bdellovibrio bacteriovorus) lyse the bacterial prey remnants below. How are they doing this & which predator proteins are involved in this process?
