Soil moisture in southern Ukraine is close to zero (2.7%) [top right time series] and no precipitation is expected in the next 10 days [background map]
The agreement between the modelled soil moisture from GLOFAS (global-flood.emergency.copernicus.eu/glofas-forec...) and the new Copernicus EUMETSAT Soil Moisture product (land.copernicus.eu/en/products/...) is super good!

Soil moisture anomalies are at their lowest value since 2007: -89%.
Since January 2024, the soil moisture anomalies have consistently been lower than the mean (below 0), with a tremendous impact on crop production in the area, and for EU.
