Agree to some extent but we have to sign a RW that upgrades us at some point, and given the opportunity table/UCL this season itβd be great to see that happen this month
RCB and GK both need future proofing too

I know thereβs a load of reasons why it doesnβt happen, but it would be great to go into a transfer window and have any amount of incomings/outgoings lined up and announced pretty much immediately

#NUFC Right Wing Transfers:
Data vs. Dennis Wise Scouting Notes - A Battle Royale π§΅
Having been asked a few times for which Right Wingers (position not politics) options Iβd like #NUFC to have a look at in January, I thought Iβd have a bit of fun with it. So here goes:
Lewis Hall has a huge future
That England LB spot should be his now and for the foreseeable
Botman brings in better passing ability getting the ball forward, which weβve missed, but also more defensive ability and more pace means midfield can get higher up pitch and involved in more
01.12.2024 11:16 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0The GK one is hilarious. Absolutely no need haha

Itβs obviously something they/we/all care about a lot, just canβt understand the pleasure in being consistently negative about it all
Not to mention if you look at everything from a pragmatic angle, thereβs a load of positives. Just having a very shit time on the pitch atm
Has to be addressed in Jan, surely

Totally agree
No doubt Jose would be great for off the pitch entertainment, and absolutely the worst thing possible on it
He can grow into it but itβs a lot to learn and take on
I think we also saw/got the benefit of having an established England international in trips as captain. Easier to manipulate the ref haha
Even worse than this are the people that say they want Mourinho
Mental
Before today Iβd have agreed on the Longstaff bit, but Tonali started at 6 today and did reasonably well.. the only βimprovementβ points for him in that spot probably get resolved with more time spent there

Too many on twitter that love a moan. Youβll see people not even watch the games and still kick off about individual aspects of them, not listen to press conference and go out of their way to kick off about select quotes etc
Bluesky seems to just be people actually talking it through
Botman back makes it a lot more doable. Tonali more time in midfield should steadily see him/us improve too. We really, really need a top RW. 433 doable with those 3 things in mind, plus a new RCB, but short term I wouldnβt be against a change of shape
30.11.2024 18:21 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Only him + the team can influence it one way or the other really, nature of football and all that. Still think he / we come good though. Hopefully anyway

Bluesky after not winning > twitter after not winning
Obviously would be better to just win, but you get my point
Think thatβs where the club has gone wrong post takeover for me, weβve done a bit of it, but not loads of it. 10x as many minteh type deals and weβd have a far better talent pipeline coming through much sooner
30.11.2024 18:06 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Agreed
30.11.2024 18:05 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Yeah both fair enough
30.11.2024 17:57 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0
Went in for Olise he chose Bayern
Went in for Maddison he chose spurs
Thatβs just two that we know about etc, sure thereβs been plenty others that havenβt come to fruition
Think if Botman comes back in and after getting back up to speed weβre still struggling def, fair enough
If he was backed with a really good quality RW and we couldnβt score/create more, fair enough
But Iβm pretty confident either of those and he/we only improve
Yeah today was really poor

Not many out there that are available or interested and would be an upgrade, esp without requiring a massive overhaul. Reckon in a PSR-free world Eddie kills it for us. Lot of mitigating factors (key injuries being the main one for me) have cause us to stagnate
Hope he turns it around myself
Yeah definitely. Shape change would probs spark the fire but not sure he moves from 433 as the default. Tonali starting is a step in the right direction at least, esp with him at 6 + Bruno at 8 and able to swap
30.11.2024 17:40 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Yep but with ageing Burn and Schar as CBs we are pretty exposed to the odd chance / restricts our midfield somewhat
30.11.2024 17:39 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Maybe Iβm just trying to convince myself, but I canβt help but feel that with Botman fit and a decent RW, we are a totally different side
30.11.2024 17:37 β π 12 π 0 π¬ 4 π 0Questions fine, disappointment fine, just think calls for the Howe to be sacked are shortsighted
30.11.2024 17:35 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Very diff league this season. Yes weβve dropped points and not taken chances where we could and should (today, w ham, Brighton, etc) but weβre 3 points behind Arsenal, 4 points behind city. 3/4 of the league are a win or loss off mid table at minute
30.11.2024 17:31 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0
Not good enough, and we clearly need to massively step it up, but I canβt and wonβt take anyone that says βEddie outβ seriously
Your opinion on football immediately means nowt to me at that point
