31.12.2025 13:49 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Absolutely, but it got surpassed by a cheaper product that didnβt cost so much to produce and distribute. The power needed to make AI and crypto work will doom them as well.

Yup, always happens. AI will be
the 21st centuryβs laserdisc.
So who hit on you at Aqua last night?

We know the secret of making art, while they only know the minor secret of making mischief. We proceed from joy; they only have their misery. Tony Kushner

But whenever you say βwhat were they thinking?β, thereβs a feeling that some old carpenterβs ghosts are nodding thier heads in agreement .
28.06.2025 18:17 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0And one of those voices will be a stonemason cussing out the homeowner for changing the design mid-project, the same voice heard for centuries on every building site. There are some things we can depend on, after all.

11.06.2025 20:48 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0I produced the play βPeter Panβ while in LA. We stuck to the original score except for a couple spots: for the scene-change into Wendyβs house we used βWouldnβt It be Niceβ whose lyrics are exactly what the following scene is about. The LA audience of course knew the song & started SINGING ALONG!π
11.06.2025 20:41 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Two books: Catalog for John Waters POPE OF TRASH exhibit at the Academy Museum in Hollywood. On the over, Waters is wearing a COMME DE GARCONS dinner jacket, made of pink bedcover cloth with pink pompoms. And SPENT, the latest of Alison Bechdelβs graphic novels. The cover image is Bechdel and her wife Holly drawn as the lesbian version of βAmerican Gothicβ. As always, Ms. Bechdelβs book is the one you you really do HAVE to read.
My Big Gay Books: POPE OF TRASH, the catalog from the John Waters exhibit at the Academy Museum of Motion Pictures, and SPENT, Alison Bechdelβs take on Marxist theory as viewed through the lens of goat farming in Vermont. Hilarious and true, I loved every page of both!

An approach to speaking about the Trump administration, by Robert
Reich, vintage 2018. Still vitally important. Please do share.
To clarify, the original article was about a minor kerfluffle over permits for an outdoor
music venue. But the sentiment pretty much defines what we are going through.
A quote from a NYTimes article that sums up our present situation: βI think thereβs cultural conflict here: Itβs between people who think you should work things out with your neighbors and follow the rules, and people who think theyβre so powerful and so cool, they can just do whatever they want,β
19.04.2025 23:56 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Tomorrow there are demonstrations in both DC and Baltimore. I was fully planning to go, but have been in bed sick for the last week, and probably wonβt be mobile tomorrow. Anybody who wasnβt planning on it, if you could go in my place, it would mean a lot to me.
04.04.2025 13:37 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Is there a start time for these protests? Please read βLet the Record Showβ, a history of ActUp and a primer on how to organize and run an effective protest campaign, which would include stating the time to show up for a demonstration on every flyer and message.
