... The problem I'm having with the AI discourse is that it FEELS like peopke just being afraid of new technology.... but people should 100% be afraid of new technology that hasn't been regulated before it's unleashed... Like the internet kind of worked out but also kinda didn't....

this can't be allowed to be a consumer grade product going forward. its too much like doing the really fun drugs, there's no way to know beforehand who is gonna be able to act normal with it and who will instantly be struck insane and end up dead in a ditch somewhere

Peekaboo, Fluffy! This beautiful girl has a very traumatic history and is not socialized to humans. 💔 She has become a little more relaxed than when she first arrived last year, but she's still a bit unsure and wary of people. You simply can't force trust, it has to be earned at their pace.

The only thing that can keep my body from shutting down when things go wrong is reminding it how it feels when things go wrong and that it isn't an immediate death sentence...

This is also why positive thinking doesn't really work for me and why my dad tries to find out everything about his medical issues and tell you about them... Positive thinking doesn't prepare you for when things could go wrong...

She mentioned that more educated people have a harder time in therapy because we have more ability to scrutinise what other people are saying, we don't just believe what we're being told...... So it feels like she's been trying to just tell me what to believe to see if that works...

I think I realized why my therapist advice with OCD symptoms hasn't been working and she's subtlety insinuated it herself... The best practice with OCD type anxiety that my family has is exposure therapy... Her answer has always been "the worst that could happen is they say No"... not with my brain
