Were I not limited to 300 characters I'd write a whole essay on how the two lores slowly diverged over time, and how even in early anime there were always some differences! Mewtwo movie is the most blatant example, but I disgress lol

To be fair they both come from the same source, but over time they have seperated. This is also to note that the anime lore now has two different lores with 2 different Ash verses. If Horizon's isn't apart of ashanime, then that'd be 3.

But Arceus' DLC was free and gave 100 new quests for each mon, and then there's also the research problem. Like I love how it's structured, but then you into arceus and each mon had its own dedicated entry, we also lost smoke bombs, berries, etc... To distract pokemon. We see pokemon alive and

But Arceus had over 200 side quests with the dlc, which heavily focused on the battle aspect. ZA's quests focus on the battle aspect first, and yeah there are a ton of co-existance themed quests... But I want more! And then that goes into the dlc and how that works and potential for more quests

There are so many cool side quests that touch upon how they live, how a litwick was driven were stuck in the sewers and needed food and child gave up some of their life force to keep them well fed. I just... Ya know I want more! What's here is great for me, and I loved it!

But like... Where's the legend in Xerneas and Yveltal, we get some text, and yeah the battles are fun!!! To me at least, but like... I want more. I'm satisfied with what we got, esp cause I am a big zygarde fan, and I love seeing the modern day deal with co-existance and the impact in the sidequests

Zygarde is always around, Zygarde feels so important, same with Floette! There's build up and fanfare for their existance and how they affected the world, how they choose who they deem worthy and their bonds with humans, and Zygarde esp felt like it just was always watching... Cause it was LOL

I mean their stories are shorter than they would be in Arceus. In Arceus you did so much just for Regigigas, Heatran, Manaphy, Giratina, ARCEUS! Xerneas and Yveltal just show up, but like... Where's the fanfare? Where's the impact of two gods appearing!

But like I want more LOL

I want the revolation that a mon's frenzy is doing MORE to help out, I want a mon disgusing itself as a human to blend in and achive its own goal! For the legendaries, they still felt impactful in ZA but...

Like what we have, I like! I think it does a good job! People are starting to treat pokemon not as pets, but as actual beings...

And like, I get quite a bit of that from ZA. The sides and main story touch upon it quite a bit and I'm happy with that... But like- Legends Arceus!! It did so much! We have more side quests than Legends Arceus iirc

I get battling is a big, I love the battles, but like... The man finding out-

I want to see berry farmers need certain pokemon for farming and realize how important keeping care of said fields with pokemon can lead to better harvest thus the need to better understand.

But I want more. I want to see not just a mon terrorizing a holovator, I want to see an alpha break into someone's house and be like "this is mine now" cause it's habitate got displace by a wild zone. I want to see more of someone being like "hey these pokemon just moved into my house, help"

We see the elemental monkies serve as inspo for a tea and assist in making it. We see a mons need assistance or causing havoc in places and you need to help clean things up, or help them get better, all because of the wild zone and za royal...

It's still there, it's a fun part of the side quests and world imo that we get to see. We get to see an old women and her sylveon fight after trying to resolve conflict, only to realize they were taking their anger out on each other. We need a shuppet help a man realize he'd been neglecting his wife

Reactions are also muted here. For example if you brought an NPC and Alpha in arceus, they'd actively react. I made it a challenge to bring almost all NPC's alpha mons to see their reaction and sometimes it's fear, other times it's "OH SHOOT YOU'RE A BIG BOY"

We don't get that in ZA as much

ZA does that a few times, but not as much as I'd personally like. We get the side quest at the start of the game, we get a few where you bring a mon to learn more about them and help out, but they're a lot fewer than Arceus-

Legends Arceus has a quest where a chimecho can't find a place to stay, it bothers an old women. Each time you try to find a new place to stay people are annoyed or fearful, eventually the old women realizes that it's just another being trying to live its life... And despite how much it rang she-

L brings up how this could just turn into a repeating cycle, etc... I get why you're frustrated, again they could have done more. I would have loved to see more quests where you give people pokemon to help out around town, dive into the nature of these pokemon and how they interact with people,
