Romance felt like it held second place to the academic issues addressed in the story. All the characters and locations were well designed and real. A little romantic subtext and a little less science in their conversations might place romance on equal footing with climate science in a romance story.

By the time LGBTQIA people come out to the world, they have mostly purged hypocrisy, lies and shame, those tools used by conservatives. It's hard to learn until one abandons filters that no longer defines rather than includes the other.

However, claiming to be more deaf than I am can work in my favor from time to time.

Maybe it's time to take a look at my spending and prioritize supporting those who don't actively hate me primarily for their political image and standing within MAGALand.
