remake done! it's subtle but i think it makes a big difference

it's blender, i made all the model elements myself and just do the posing. i'm remaking some older space marine designs at the new scale for the modern game, basically

last render of a pair of marines, this one leveling a flamer while holding the top handle. the new one has a wider stance that looks more braced against the ground, leaning over his weapon

and done the remakes!

two versions of a marine walking forward with flamer leveled. the model on the left has his whole body tucked in, creating a scrunched pose. the one on the right is walking taller, straighter, and has the flamer slung low. he looks a lot more menacing for it

2 3d renders of an infernus marine preparing to throw a grenade. the one on the left, made a year ago, is stiff and strangely balanced. The one on the right has the arm back at full extension, the entire body curved and the leading arm held further out for balance. the two poses are nearly identical in broad strokes but have completely different levels of energy

i feel this one is a really good example of the little things you learn after doing something for a while. the guy on the left looks like he's hold the pose, the guy on the right looks like he was snapped right before the grenade left his hand. and its all just a few angles difference.

making serious progress finishing the arts for the full release of Must Be Tuesday Revived, and this one was simple but came out well

the full version will not only have all the art, but includes a bunch of new pages of guidelines, rules refinements, improved confrontation rules,

lessons i've learned include generally keeping the bodies more upright and twisting them into actions more, turning feet to exaggerate weight, lifing the head more to allow more neck movement, and use angled weapons and limbs to expand the silhouette

two takes on an infernus sergeant. on the left is the year-old version whose pose (flamer held under one arm with a pistol drawn) is stiff and awkwardly balanced, on the right is a more dynamic version of a similar pose, with the pistol being aimed, the weapon held more securely, and the head tilted into the action

as i was laying out my batch painting order, i noticed that, in addition to having a lot of print errors, my infernus marines (some of the very first ones i posed in this project) were just... incredibly stiff and lifeless

so i figured i might as well redo them? old on the left, new on the right

You’re all wonderful and I’m delighted about the level of excitement and enthusiasm about the book!

My notifications across multiple platforms are currently doing a very good Alderaan impression but I’ll try and keep up with all your kind messages etc as best I can.

But now I’m going to sleep.

you'd have a flying unit with bows that'd just jumped behind my skeletons and shoot their boss to death, instakilling the whole army lol

this is why the necromancer will be in one of the zombie units advancing cautiously behind the wall of bone

When we talk about Baby Boomers not getting off the stage: In 1997, the US president was born in 1946.

In 2007, the US president was born in 1946.

In 2017, the US president was born in 1946.

And next year in 2027? The US president will have been born in 1946.

yeah but the goal here isn't *just* bonemaxxing, it's to bring out a movement tray roughly the size of the deployment zone and shoving all the skelemens into it

tragically james workshop, cowards that they are, require you to take a minimum of 3 units

03.03.2026 21:05 β€” πŸ‘ 4    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 1    πŸ“Œ 0

because skeletons never retreat the question simply becomes, can you kill 364 (plus up to 6 d3+1) skeletons over the course of 6 rounds

03.03.2026 21:05 β€” πŸ‘ 26    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 4    πŸ“Œ 0

warhammer the old world is NOT a war game it's a game where you get to find out how many skeletons you can bring in a 2,000 point army

The hole in the ozone layer was actually very serious and a global effort allowed it to recover. Y2K WAS actually a serious problem and people worked countless hours to make sure nobody even noticed. Air and water pollution was catastrophic in many places and incredible effort reversed that damage.

If you were bullied, you had to deal with people pretending you were a threat to their lives. I don't just mean other students/children at all.
