The fact that the bonfire is to burn a Catholic effigy is a clue.

The Test Ban is a lynchpin policy. Nuclear warheads need conventional explosives to work, there are bans on making them. Stocks are dwindling, limiting the new ones that can be made. So if you want to tuse a different explosive that isn't banned you have to test it in an actual bomb.

Good. I've written 10 books and maybe 200 articles using Word so I've years of fond memories, but why do they add stuff you don't need, don't want, and cannot disable?

Yeahbut, All Hallows 'Ene is a bit papist for post-Puritan England, especially when there is a Catholic effigy to burn?

"You go to London right now...", come on Maria Bartiromo, admit it, you've never been to London. Women are not "covered up" under sharia. Under umbrellas, sure, and so are men in rainy London.

Indeed and Osborne quotes the figures, but it means that a terrible policy is popular. That's a big problem since it makes it harder to change.

And yet George Osborne continues to defend it, says it's a popular policy

In England I've only ever heard "footpath" used on its own. And "public footpaths" have a legal meaning too (rights of way). If there is a road by it, it's the pavement, but these days some bastard will think it's the place to park their car

Indeed. It's important to replace the "worse" PM because they are doing damage.

But unpopular? Pah, stick to popularity votes like Strictly

I had a "perfect MRI" on my brain a couple of years ago. It really worried my doctor because I needed an MRI to explain my symptoms and it didn't, so my condition was worse than he initially thought

It also shows how little he knows Brits. We are too apathetic to have a civil war. Elon's storm troopers will just be told to leave us alone, and if someone can be bothered to play it, to the tune of Benny Hill
